How should I contact you?

Contact me via this website (see the last screen, “Contact Me”). I try to get back to inquiries within 24 hours, technology-permitting.

How much does it cost?

Charges are hourly, $50/hour, with a one hour minimum, and measured in quarter-hour blocks. More complex writing, such as business proposals, plans, reports, and longer manuals may be priced higher depending upon complexity and length. Estimates are available upon request.

How do you work?

By email and phone.

I’m embarassed I can’t write this myself.

Writing well in the English language is incredibly difficult, and most people struggle with it. You are not alone. You can do things I cannot, and each of us has our specialities. My service is completely CONFIDENTIAL. No one will know unless you tell them. You own the writing.

Do you do newsletters?

I write copy (text) for websites, blogs, newsletters, advertising and forms, but I do not design. Design and layout are highly specialized, and you are better served by an expert in those areas. I do not do graphics or art. If you are a student needing a paper or other assignment, I only offer advice from my experience as a teacher.

What kinds of lead time do you need?

It depends on the job, and other work on hand. Writing a business proposal from scratch takes more time than editing already-written material. I can give you estimates based upon the specifics of what you need.
